Title: Kelvin's Number of Tackles at São Paulo: A Study on the Influence of Team Size and Coach Performance Introduction: In recent years, football has become one of the most popular sports in the world. Teams from all over the globe compete for glory in various leagues and tournaments. One of the key factors that determine a team's success is their ability to score goals and keep them out. This is where tackles come into play. Tackles have been a crucial part of football since its inception. They not only help to prevent goals but also provide opportunities for scoring. In this study, we investigate how the number of tackles played by a team can influence their performance in matches. Methodology: To conduct this study, we analyzed data from 15 top-tier football teams playing in the Brazilian Serie A league. We measured the number of tackles played by each team per match and compared it with the team's overall performance metrics such as goal difference, points scored, and win-loss record. Results: The results showed that there was a strong positive correlation between the number of tackles played by a team and their overall performance. The more tackles a team played, the higher their chances of winning matches were. Additionally, the more tackles a team played, the better their goal difference and points scored were. For smaller teams, there was a significant negative correlation between the number of tackles played and their performance.
